Get Involved

Short Form

I'm committed to protecting the vulnerable demographics of our rural communities. For too long, our voices have not been heard in Topeka. These are some of the issues that are important to me and I promise to fight for to ensure Southeast Kansas families thrive and prosper.

Issues

How did we get here? By trying the same thing... I'm different. I am tired of seeing hard working Kansas families struggle to make ends meet. It is going to take all of us working together to change Kansas for the better.

About

Kansans need good jobs and a strong economy. We should support local small businesses, help them grow, and attract new businesses and innovation to Kansas.

We also need to be wary of mega projects that promise the moon while leaving taxpayers and communities holding the risk. We can't fear change. We need to face it head on and prepare Kansans for the jobs of the future.

The goal is long-term, stable jobs, strong local businesses, and lasting investment in Kansas.

Job Opportunities

Impending cuts to Medicaid will place a burden on ALL health care providers in Kansas. Our rural communities cannot afford to lose access to vital medical services.

I will prioritize Medicaid expansion and work to ensure every Kansan has access to life-saving healthcare regardless of their zip code or income.

Where you live or what you earn should never determine whether you can get the care you need.

Write a short blurb about an issue your campaign is highlighting. Try to keep the text a similar size between the various issue blurbs.

Wind and Solar are fantastic resources as our need for electricity grows. We must learn from the errors made on past projects. The land owner and county must be adequately compensated, and not left with decades of unplanned costs and unforeseen complications. The energy generated should stay in and support the community - not sent to data centers in far away locations.

Renewable Energy

Public education gives Kansas children the tools, support, and opportunities they need to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

I will work to fully fund Kansas public schools, including fully funding special education, so every child gets the support they need to succeed.

Investing in our schools is investing in Kansas' future.

Education

If children are required to be somewhere, we should make sure they have a good breakfast and lunch waiting for them. Every child should have access to nutritious meals every school day, regardless of their family's income.

In addition to USDA funds, legal marijuana tax revenue can help fund this important program and make sure Kansas has the resources to get it done.

When kids are well fed, they learn better, focus better, and have a better chance to succeed.

Headline goes here

Why is a plant illegal? Let’s be honest, it's already here. We can’t stick our heads in the sand or be afraid of it. It’s time for Kansas to catch up with Missouri, Oklahoma, and Colorado.

I support legalizing medicinal and recreational marijuana with safe, responsible regulation. It can give Kansas farmers another cash crop, keep money here at home, and generate revenue for free school meals and fully funding special education.

If it’s already here, let’s regulate it, tax it, and put those dollars to work for Kansas.

Medical decisions should be made by individuals, their families, and their doctors, not politicians.

Every Kansan deserves the freedom to make personal healthcare decisions based on their own circumstances, values, and medical advice.

Bodily Autonomy

We learned the hard way during the Dust Bowl that you can't take our water and land for granted. We need to keep those lessons in mind while embracing new ways to conserve and protect our water for the future.

Kansas water belongs to all of us, and we need to be good stewards of it. Before approving major industrial projects, including data centers, we need to understand how much water they will use and what that means for our communities, farmers, and families.

Water Rights

When we buy something, we should have the freedom to repair it, maintain it, upgrade it, or choose who repairs it. Farmers shouldn’t be forced to wait on a manufacturer to fix their equipment, and consumers shouldn’t be locked out of repairing their phones, computers, or other devices.

Manufacturers shouldn’t control what we can do with the products we already own.

If you bought it, you should have the right to fix it.

Right to Repair

The right to bear arms shall not be infringed, while we pursue practical, bipartisan solutions to reduce violence and improve safety.

Hunting, fishing, clay shooting, and target shooting are important parts of our Kansas heritage and way of life. These traditions deserve to be protected.

We can protect our constitutional rights while working together to address violence and build safer communities.

The Second Amendment

Before Kansas approves another data center, we need to fully understand the impacts these massive facilities can have on our communities.

Data centers can place significant demands on Kansas' electricity, water, land, roads, and other public infrastructure. Kansans deserve to know what these projects will cost and who will ultimately pay for those costs.

We should pause new data center projects until we can thoroughly assess their impacts, establish clear standards, and make sure economic development doesn't come at the expense of Kansas taxpayers, our water resources, or our quality of life.

Data Centers
